Funeral Services for Mrs. Jessie Lee Noel of Heathsville were held 2 P. M. Monday, September 29, 2008 at 2 P. M. at the Galilee United Methodist Church in Edwardsville, Virginia with Pastor Charles F. Bates, Officiating.

Jessie Lee Noel, the eldest daughter of Vernon Keeve, Sr. and the late Orlean Keeve, was born on January 31, 1941 in Northumberland County, Heathsville, Virginia.

She attended the Northumberland County Public Schools. Jessie accepted Christ early in her life and became a member of Galilee United Methodist Church in Edwardsville, Virginia. She was an active member in church until her passing. At Galilee UMC she was a lay leader, usher, and a member of the United Methodist Women.

She was united in marriage to William Noel, Jr. on January 24, 1959.

Until her untimely passing, Jessie worked as a certified nursing assistant-medical tech at The Orchard’s Nursing Home in Warsaw.

On Wednesday, September 24, 2008, our hearts were saddened by the passing of our loved one. She was preceded in death by her mother, aunt, Joyce Baker; and uncles: Ernest, Andrew, and Hurston Harcum.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, William Noel, Jr.; four daughters: Vanessa Williams (Roger) of Burgess, Virginia; Kathryn Robinson (Stewart) of Heathsville, Virginia; Tammy Rochelle (Kevin); Terri Noel (Keith, Sr.) all of Heathsville; three sons: William Noel, III (Rubette) and Franklin Oneal Noel all of Abbeville, Louisiana; Antonio Noel (Carolyn) of Heathsville, Virginia; father, Vernon Keeve, Sr.; six sisters: Flossie Curry (Thomas) of Burgess; Leola Gilford (Clarence) of Washington, DC, Angela Cottrell (Garfield) of Waldorf, Maryland; Bonnie Veney (Charles) of Heathsville, Virginia; Valencia Thomas (Bobby) of Burgess, and Leatrice Taylor of Heathsville; two brothers: Vernon Keeve (Iris) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; Oliver Sutton (Lucy) of Montross, Virginia; aunts: Catherine and Alease of Reedville, Virginia; Rebecca and Cynethia of Heathsville, Virginia and Nora of Baltimore, Maryland; 23 grandchildren: Terrell, Shukura, Joyce, Skylar, Samantha, Tabitha, Stone, Kaitlyn, Jessica, Enya, Keontay, Nestea, Joey, MaKeyva, William (IV), Aaron, Keith, Jr., Keiondra, Brandon, Antony, Shania, Franklin, Jr., and Tyleek; 13 great grandchildren: Taylor, Tyler, Ky’arra, Malaysia; Ledgend, Trevonn, Promyse, Samaria, Mikerra, Janyle, Leah, Khalil, and Dynasti; two brothers-in-law: Otis Carter of Edwardsville, Virginia and Clinton Noel of Morgan City, Louisiana; four sisters-in-law: Shirley Betts of Richmond, Virginia; Ernestine Noel of Burgess; Margaret Noel of Weems, Virginia; and Thelma Cottrell of Reedville; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.

Interment services were held at the church cemetery where her Pall Bearers were friends of the family and her flower bearers were the Galilee UMC Women.

Services of Comfort and Trust entrusted to the Berry O. Waddy Funeral Home, Berry O. Waddy, Manager.
